Do you guys think the tier list is giving too much weight to pure damage numbers and not enough to utility or survivability? I’m curious if anyone has noticed specs that are technically lower ranked but end up being MVPs in certain dungeon affixes or raid mechanics. Also, how often do you think the Liberation of Undermine DPS Tier List really needs to be updated to stay accurate — weekly with hotfixes, or only after major patches?

Great point. The meta can shift so fast with hotfixes that a tier list feels outdated quickly. While raw numbers are a factor, utility is king in high keys. I've found that having enough wow gold to quickly gear an alt for a newly-buffed spec is a game-changer. It lets you adapt to the meta on the fly instead of waiting weeks to catch up.
I’ve definitely noticed specs that don’t top the charts but end up being lifesavers in raids. For example, having extra crowd control or raid buffs can swing encounters much more than a few thousand extra DPS. Because of that, I don’t mind if the Liberation of Undermine DPS Tier List is only updated after major patches — otherwise it risks becoming noise with constant micro-adjustments. It’s more useful as a broad reference than a day-to-day measurement of power.
I think you nailed it — the numbers are only part of the story. A spec with strong utility, like external defensives or combat res, can make a huge difference in high Mythic+ keys even if their raw DPS looks average on paper. Honestly, I’d prefer to see it updated more frequently, maybe weekly, since hotfixes can shake things up fast. Here’s the link if anyone wants to check it out: lou dps tier list. That’s why some classes end up feeling underrated in the Liberation of Undermine DPS Tier List.
